Indian Springs is one of the smaller villages of award winning, master-planned community of The Woodlands, located just 34 miles northwest of Houston, Texas. It is centrally situated within The Woodlands, bordering Woodlands Parkway to the north and Gosling Road on the eastern edge, in Montgomery County. It opened in 1986 and is named after the Indian artifacts that were discovered in the area, in 1984, from the Bidai tribe of the Atakapan Indians.

The accredited John Cooper School, a private, K-12 college preparatory academy is located in Indian Indian Springs, while the public schools are under the direction of the Conroe Independent School District (CISD). The students attend the highly rated elementaries of Galatas and Coulson Tough, while the strong academic programs at Mitchell Intermediate, McCullough Junior High, The Woodlands Ninth Grade Campus and The Woodlands High School serve the older pupils of the community. The students of The Woodlands High School have a 97.7% graduation rate with 60.6% of those furthering their education and receiving their Bachelor's Degree and 19.4% obtaining their Graduate or Professional Degree.

With the numerous eating establishments, unique shopping spots, along with the neighborhood and professional services, Indian Springs is home to the Indian Springs' Village Center and The Woodlands Crossing Shopping Center. At the Indian Springs' Village Center, you can find an H-E-B supermarket, Wickander Works, Kid to Kid, while at The Woodlands Crossing Shopping center, you'll discover Ace Hardware, PetCo, Starbucks, Trader Joe's and Walgreens. The popular restaurants of Chili's, Dickey's BBQ, Double Dave's Pizza, Pei Wei and Via Emilia are an example of the diversity of places to get a bite to eat. There is also a 24 Hour Fitness, Massage Envy, Supercuts, The Woodlands Eye Center along with several other professional and personal businesses at your service. It doesn't take the residents of Indian Springs long to realize that there is no reason to leave the community, as most everything they need is right here within their own quaint neighborhood of Indian Springs!
