It’s another busy weekend in The Woodlands! A couple of events to look for this weekend are the Run for Hope and Fall Family Campout. Run for Hope will take place at Market Street Saturday from 7 to 11 AM. There will be a 5K race and a 10K race along with a 1-mile fun walk/run. The top 3 runners within each age bracket of the 5K and 10K will receive medals. The Run for Hope will benefit Love Fosters Hope, a foundation that supports children in teens in foster care. The Fall Family Campout is an event that will focus on building community. Fall Family Campout is a two-day event that is focusing on plugging into friends and family instead of to social media and your phone. Overnight camping is not required, you are welcome to go home and come back Sunday. The event will begin on Saturday the 28th and the schedule for the event is as follows:
Saturday, September 28th:
- 11 AM to 6 PM is for setting up camp and hanging out
- 6 PM to 7 PM is the BIG family dinner
- 8 PM to 10 PM there will be a family movie on the big screen
Sunday, September 29th:
- 9 AM to 10 AM is the BIG family breakfast
- 12 PM is the end of the Fall Family Campout
If you’re looking for something to do in Tomball this weekend Groovefest 2019 will be taking place at the Tomball Depot on Saturday, September 28th from 11 AM to 6 PM. Groovefest 2019 will take you back to the days of groovy rock and roll by featuring live performances by The Fab 5, Johnnie and the Spinsations, and more. Of course, there will be food, kids’ zone, and giveaways at the event. Parking and admission to Groovefest 2019 is free.
