Summer is coming to a close and fall is among us in just a few weeks! With the fall season come great weather for fall vegetables to be grown. Now we all know that not everyone has a green thumb, but there is an opportunity to learn about some of the best gardening techniques right here in The Woodlands! On Saturday, August 24th, from 9 AM to 11 AM at The Woodlands Emergency Training Center the Fall Organic Vegetable Gardening Class will be taking place. This is a FREE class, but it does require registration due to limited availability.

In this class, participants will join Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agents Emeritus (retired) Tom LeRoy and Bill Adams who will pass along their years of vegetable gardening experience. This three-hour seminar will dive into the latest the trends in gardening, how to prepare soil for gardening, proven planting techniques, and the best plant varieties for this area of Texas. Whether you’re a beginner at gardening a veteran gardener, this class could help you GROW your knowledge in the gardening field! Tom and Bill have written a book on the topic of gardening and these books will be available! The Montgomery County Master Gardeners will also be at the seminar to help with any additional questions you have regarding gardening.
