With the beginning of August comes the preparation for school to start back up! To start of the school year supplies are needed. Schools have begun to post the lists of supplies each child will need and every school. But we all know that school supplies can add up quickly. Not everyone can afford all their school supplies, but there is an event going on to ensure that every child has the proper supplies for a successful school year!

Guaranty Bank & Trust in Conroe and the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce are teaming up and collecting school supplies for some of the underserved schools within the area by putting on Stuff the Bus! Until August 12th you donate school supplies at one of the drop off locations.  Sixty percent of all the students in Willis ISD are on the free/reduced lunch program and 4 of their 5 elementary schools are Title I. In Conroe, 37% of Conroe ISD is economically disadvantaged and 23 of their 42 elementary and intermediate schools are Title I. Even with government funding, many teachers and schools still need help.
