On Saturday, June 22nd, from 9 am to 1 pm at Walden Marina the Kids Fish Fest will be held and hosted by the Texas Trophy Catfish Association! The Kids Fish Fest is a FREE, yes you read it right, FREE, event for kids of all ages. At this festival, kids will be given the opportunity to learn more about angler safety and etiquette. Fishing lessons will be given by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Certified Angler Education Instructors for beginners as well as advanced lessons. Other events and activities taking place at the Kids Fish Fest include casting contests, fish identification, knot tying, observe how to tag monster catfish, and hear a seminar on conservation. Kids attending the festival will also get the opportunity to get an up close and person experience with trophy catfish!! All attendees of the Kids Fish Fest are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles if they have one to ensure there will be enough equipment for everyone who attends. If you don’t have your own fishing pole, that is perfectly fine because bait and fishing equipment will be provided at the Kids Fish Fest! Lunches will also be available for purchase.

The Kids Fish Fest will be the perfect way to get the little fishers you know involved in a great summer day of activities.
