Each year on the 2 Wednesday of May, Keller Williams Realty agents across the globe take a day off working to give back to the communities that they work and live in on a day called RED Day. RED Day was created by Keller Williams Realty in honor of the birthday of our vice chairman, Mo Anderson, and is a day of services. The meaning behind RED is Renew, Energize, and Donate and that is exactly what Keller Williams agents do every year for RED Day. Different Keller Williams offices volunteer at various organizations as well as just going out into the neighborhoods in their communities to help paint houses, rebuild buildings, plant trees and much more! For the second year, the Sartin Team along with other teams and associates Keller Williams Realty The Woodlands and Magnolia will be spending RED Day 2019 at the Montgomery County Food Bank.

Last year we teamed up with the Montgomery County Food bank to help package a truckload of rice and beans. Over 20,0000 pounds of rice and beans were packaged by Keller Williams associates. Rice and beans are the most nutritionally dense foods that are dry and non-perishable. This year, our office intends to surpass our amount of work from last year! In addition to participating in the volunteer work at the Montgomery County Food Bank our office has also been collecting canned good and non-perishable food items to bring to the Food Bank as a donation. Food insecurity and food scarcity is a problem in our area, and the Montgomery County Food Bank is the organization that lends a helping hand to those in need.

The Montgomery County Food Bank is always looking for volunteers and donations. With the holidays just ending and summer break about to begin, there is a pressing need for certain donations. Aside from canned foods the Montgomery County Food Bank needs the following items:

  • Oatmeal
  • ½ gallon bottles of 100% pure fruit juice
  • Canned meat – spam, chicken, tuna, beef stew
  • Peanut butter
